Avion Elite members can convert their Avion points to WestJet’s WestJet points, American Airlines’ AAdvantage Miles, British Airways’ Avios and Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles (each, an “Airline Loyalty Currency”). Avion Premium members can only can convert their Avion points to WestJet’s WestJet points. Please allow up to 4 weeks for your Avion points to be converted and for the Airline Loyalty Currency to appear in your Airline Loyalty Currency’s account. Once Avion points have been converted to an Airline Loyalty Currency, they must remain within the airline’s loyalty program and they may not be reversed/returned or converted back to Avion points. A minimum of number of Avion points must be converted each time, and the Airline Loyalty Currency account must be in the same name as the Avion Rewards account. Once Avion points have been converted to an Airline Loyalty Currency, they are subject to the full terms and conditions of the airline’s loyalty program including, but not limited to, those pertaining to the Airline Loyalty Currency’s expiry, flight booking, seat availability and blackout periods. Each airline, not Royal Bank of Canada, is responsible for the terms and conditions of their loyalty program.
